The BIA’s 4th Annual Chalk My Walk is this Saturday, June 7!
We hope to see you at the Mount Dennis BIA’s 4th annual FREE event, Chalk My Walk, this Saturday, June 7 from 2 to 5 p.m.!
Every year the BIA closes Hollis Street at Eglinton and Weston for a fun-filled afternoon featuring live entertainment, giveaways, chalk art, and community information tables.
This year the BIA is thrilled to welcome some amazing York South-Weston performers including Canadian Beatboxing champion Scott Jackson, the acrobatic and comedic Bex in Motion, the playful and vibrant Grand Salto Theatre, and an incredibly entertaining set from Dance Fachin. Not to mention internationally acclaimed DJ Cozmic Cat, Dazzling Darren Bedford and an interactive Salsa demonstration by Ballroom Expressions.
Come meet and connect with the Mount Dennis Community Association, the Weston King Neighbourhood Centre, the Mount Dennis Run Club, the Toronto Nature Stewards, Community Bikeways, our local Beaver Troupe, Lost Rivers Toronto, and more! Bring your bike for a FREE TUNEUP from the Learning Enrichment Foundation‘s Bicycle and Maintenance Team!
Do you know someone who needs a bike? The incredible York South-Weston Reuse, Repair, Ride team is giving away 2 adult and 4 children’s bikes this year at Chalk My Walk on Saturday, June 7! The BIA is also giving away three $200 No Frills Grocery Store gift cards – one every hour!
Entering the draw for a bike couldn’t be simpler:
- Come to Chalk My Walk
- Fill out a very simple ballot and put it in the ballot box by the bike you would like to win.
- While you’re there, enjoy all the fantastic FREE entertainment and kids’ activities.
- Be there for the draw at 5 p.m.
